Devastated by today’s news that Beastie Boy Adam Yauch ~ MCA ~ died from cancer at age 47.
Looking for peace in my swirling emotions.
It’s not morbid exaggeration when I say that MCA was the single biggest influence on starting (and continuing) my meditation practice in the early ’90s.

I loved MCA and the Beasties too. The husband and I had a happy-sad conversation about our favorite songs last night (Him: Sabotage Me: Fight for Your Right). He will be sorely missed.
Thanks for posting this. I’m not a Beastie Boys fan and I had no idea they were into Buddhism. Learn new things every day! ^__^ Condolences for your loss, also. The loss of an influential celebrity can feel like the loss of a friend.
